About
What this publication is for
The tech worth knowing. The games worth finding.
Webitlio covers consumer technology and gaming — with a deliberate specialism in incremental and idle games and the small developers who make them. We are a publication, not an aggregator and not a shop.
What we do not cover
Party politics, elections and political outrage. Graphic violence, explicit content and graphic crime. Extremist material, gambling promotion and dangerous challenges. Personal financial advice and medical advice.
Family-friendly does not mean childish. Everything here is written for curious adults; it is simply safe to read anywhere and safe to hand to a teenager.
Sourcing
Every factual claim traces to a named source or is labelled as our own observation. We prefer primary sources, we state uncertainty plainly, and we summarise and link rather than republishing anyone else's article. We never invent a source, a quote, a statistic, or a credential.
Disclosure
Sponsored content carries a visible Sponsored label, names its sponsor, sits in a visually distinct container, and is never the lead story. Pages containing affiliate links say so before the first such link.
Payment buys placement and attention. It does not buy praise, a score, a favourable comparison, or the removal of a criticism. Editorial coverage of small developers is free, and always will be — nobody should have to pay us to be discovered.
AI assistance
AI may help with research, drafting, summarising and tagging. Every published piece is reviewed and approved by a named human editor; nothing publishes automatically. Where AI assistance was more than incidental, the article says so. An AI summary is never presented as text written by someone else.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly and visibly. Corrected articles carry a dated note describing what changed — we do not quietly edit mistakes away. Typos get fixed silently; substance does not.
Status
This site is pre-release. The articles currently shown are placeholder editorial samples used to build and verify the design, and they are labelled as such.
